Part Qualified / Experienced Auditor
Based in West Ferry, Dundee, FourM Chartered Accountants are a busy accountancy firm who are looking to recruit a Part Qualified / Experienced Auditor to join our friendly team on a permanent basis.

You will be working with a varied client portfolio providing audit and accountancy services including annual accounts preparation and corporation tax computations
If you have at least two years’ experience working in practice and excellent organisational skills we would be keen to meet you.
We are a registered training office with ICAS and ACCA and would like the opportunity to assist you in your journey in obtaining your professional qualification.
Job Summary
We are looking for a part qualified and experienced auditor, to join our growing team of auditors in Dundee, UK. You will be responsible for planning and executing risk-based external audits for a variety of clients, as well as assisting and coaching junior staff. You will also ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws and regulations, and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Plan and oversee the auditing process for assigned clients, ensuring quality and accuracy of audits and financial reports
- Perform effective risk and control assessments and identify areas of improvement
- Assist in completing audits on time and submitting reports to audit senior/manager or partner
- Assist in presenting audit findings and suggestions to clients and stakeholders
- Coordinate periodical audits and follow up on audit issues
- Maintain updated knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and auditing standards
- Assist in the provision of training, guidance and feedback to junior staff
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Prepare UK compliant statutory accounts for limited companies and charities.
- Assist in preparing draft corporation tax computations and returns
Requirements
- Proven experience in audit or similar role in a public accounting firm (Essential)
- In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Experience of CCH, Xero, Sage and other cloud based accounting systems would be an advantage.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Integrity and reliability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- BSc/BA in Accounting and/or Finance and working towards a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CA) (Essential)
